Synopsis:

‘Beard With Me’ is the origin story of Billy Winston and Scarlet St. Claire (aka Claire McClure) and is just the beginning of their epic love story.

No one is better at surviving than Scarlet St. Claire and making the best out of circumstances beyond her control is Scarlet’s specialty. In an apocalyptic situation, she’d be the last person on earth, hermitting like a pro, singing along to her CD Walkman, and dancing like no one is watching.

Scarlet is clever, Scarlet is careful, and Scarlet is smart . . . except when it comes to Billy Winston.

No one is better at fighting than Billy Winston and raging against his circumstances—because nothing is beyond his control—is Billy’s specialty. In an apocalyptic situation, he’d be the first person on earth to lead others to safety, overcome catastrophe, or die trying.

Billy is fearless, Billy is disciplined, and Billy is honorable . . . except when it comes to Scarlet St. Claire.

If I was an emoji right now I would be the emoji with tears streaking down my face. I feel so heartbroken and devastated after finishing Beard with Me. It made me so sad, and yet I’m so happy I read it. Billy and Scarlet’s origin story was a brutal rehashing of their (and the rest of the Winston brothers’ family) past. I knew about some of the stuff in this book from the rest of the series, but I didn’t know it. I finally feel like I have a different grasp on how horrible Darrell, Razor, and the rest of the Wraiths really were. My heart still hurts for Billy and Scarlett. I’m even more excited to finally get to read their upcoming romance, Beard Necessities. I need it like yesterday. November can’t come soon enough.

  1. I know this won’t be a shocker, but I’ve never read this author. This series has sparked my curiosity from the beginning, though. I love the covers. And the names. LOL

Glad this one worked for you.
