Mid-Year Book Freak Out Tag

It’s been a REALLY long time since I did a book tag. I’ve been seeing a ton of people post the Mid-Year Book Freak Out Tag. It’s one of my favorites to do, so here is A Novel Glimpse’s Mid-Year Book Freak Out Tag!

BEST BOOK YOU’VE READ SO FAR IN 2019

I actually listened to this one, but it’s still my favorite. I felt like this book could have been non-fiction. It felt that realistic. It was so epic! I highly recommend it.

BEST SEQUEL YOU’VE READ SO FAR IN 2019

There have been a lot of good ones, but these three are my absolute favorites.

NEW RELEASE YOU HAVEN’T READ YET, BUT WANT TO

I downloaded it, I just need to get to it!

MOST ANTICIPATED RELEASE FOR THE SECOND HALF OF THE YEAR

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT

This looks like it should be a romantic comedy. It wasn’t.

BIGGEST SURPRISE

It was actually a surprise release, so I was surprised!

FAVORITE NEW AUTHOR (DEBUT OR NEW TO YOU)

Devney Perry and Miranda Elaine.

NEWEST FICTIONAL CRUSH

I don’t really do fictional crushes, but my favorite new male character is Knox Gentry.

NEWEST FAVORITE CHARACTER

The entire cast of characters from this book!

BOOK THAT MADE YOU CRY

Daisy Jones & The Six was just a moment at the end. The Other Side a couple of tears a couple of times.

BOOK THAT MADE YOU HAPPY

It was just so fun and funny when I needed it.

MOST BEAUTIFUL BOOK YOU’VE BOUGHT SO FAR THIS YEAR (OR RECEIVED)

WHAT BOOKS DO YOU NEED TO READ BY THE END OF THE YEAR?

I need to read several, but these two for sure.

And that’s it for my Mid-Year Book Freak Out Tag! HAPPY 4th of JULY!

  1. I had high hopes for the Hunting book. I thought it was going to be a fun rom-com, but heard it was NOT form many people. TBT and Hook Shot were both fantastic. The Hoops series has been really, really good, and Helen Hoang is amazing.

    • Yeah, Meet Cute WAS NOT a rom com. It might start out and end that way, but it was an emotional mess in the middle.

  2. Love this! I’m glad I’m not the only one who cried at the end of Daisy Jones. Literally the very end – I loved that book so much! I can’t wait to see what you think of The Edge of Never. I don’t remember many books I’ve read, but that one has always stayed with me for some reason.

    • It was that very last page. All of sudden I was choked up out of nowhere. I didn’t expect that!

  3. I love this tag, too! I keep thinking that I should give it a try one of these days as well. I am so excited to see The Bride Test as a top read for you. I can’t wait to get started on it. I hope that there are lots of wonderful reads for you during the second half of the year. 🙂
