  1. The only book I can think of that made me want food is Heartless by Marissa Meyer. All the talk of baking had me seriously craving some sweets, haha. More books need to talk about food, if you ask me! 🙂

    1. I haven’t read that one. I might need to avoid even though I want to read it. I don’t need to crave baked goods more than I already do! 😉

    2. This was actually the book that popped into my head as soon as I saw the title of the post. Yep, don’t read it if you’re on a diet and trying to avoid cake.

  2. This is a fun theme! I’ve noticed that a lot of the cozy mysteries I read tend to revolve around food. And some of them even incorporate recipes the characters are making, which is super fun. Great choice this week! My TTT.

    1. Thank you! I love when recipes are included with books. Sometimes I’m adventurous and try them out.

  3. What a fun Top Ten Tuesday idea! The book that made me crave a treat was Bet Me by Jennifer Crusie. I learned to make Chicken Marsala after that book. Of course, I didn’t like it, but that’s neither here nor there. LOL

I never did get a Krispy Kreme, though. I’m still a bit sore about that!

  4. Love this! I’m currently reading Full Package by Lauren Blakely and the main character has a bakery and they have short chapters that go over recipes!! It’s yummy! Also, I read a book Crossroads by Riley Hart and the main character Nick was a chef and owned his own restaurant so he was always cooking. Bryce loved his potatoes and I craved potatoes the whole time reading the book!! hahaha

    1. I read that one and loved it! Everything sounded so yummy in it. I haven’t read Crossroads, though. I’ll have to look into it. 🙂

    1. Oh, man. It’s taco Tuesday, right? Nachos count as tacos… I need me some Mexican food now!

  5. This is a brilliant theme Deanna. I think anything that combines reading with food (two of my favourite things) is a good thing though! 😀
I haven’t read any of these books but one I have read that always makes me crave food is The Night Circus. The descriptions of the treats you can get there always make me hungry! 🙂

    1. Why thank you! It’s been a while since I’ve read The Night Circus, so I don’t remember the food in it. I imagine it was yummy, though; her writing is so descriptive and amazing.

  6. Oh no no no!! You can’t do this to me! I need to know what specifically you craved with each book! *snort* But yes, I have totally read books that do this to me!! My fave author, Cassie Mae, does it to me with so many of her books. Switched made me crave Gummie Bears and Friday Night Alibi made me crave Oranges at minimum. 🙂 I’m sure I have lots more books, but that would require me to think and I’m bad at that right now! 😛

  7. The only one I’ve read is Garden Spells (and First Frost) but yes! I agree! Sarah Addison Allen’s books always make me crave food lol

  8. Such a neat idea for a top 10 list! I may have to use this for the next top 10 freebie 😉 hahaha. Although, I’m almost always hungry when I’m reading…so I’d maybe have no idea which books to even choose!

    Great post 🙂
