I was tagged by Ann at Ann’s Reading Corner for the “I Dare You” Book Tag. I’m so excited to have been tagged for this tag because I’ve never seen it before. Thanks, Ann! 🙂

The Rules:

  • You must be honest
  • You can’t not answer a question
  • You have to tag at least four people

Which book has been on your shelves the longest?

30122

This is a hard one. I’m staring at my shelves going “Hm…” right now. It’s probably The Missing Piece by Shel Silverstein.

What is your current read, your last read, and the book you’ll read next?

Current:
22832474

Last Read:
25904855

Reading Next
29741905

What book do you keep telling yourself you’ll read, but you probably won’t?

12262741

My mom gave me Wild years ago. It’s hiding in my nightstand. I’m just not motivated to read it. The print is so tiny.

Which book are you saving for retirement?

Um…Not one. That’s way too far away.

Last page: read it first or wait till the end?

Wait until the end — unless I’m hating the book. Then, sometimes, I skip ahead to see if it’s worth it.

Acknowledgements: waste of paper and ink or interesting aside?

Interesting. You can learn a lot about an author from their acknowledgements.

Which book character would you switch places with?

25904855

Most recently, Eliot. Because Knox Masters. *Sigh*

Do you have a book that reminds you of something specific in your life (a person, a place, a time)?

3

This will probably be TMI, but the entire Harry Potter series reminds me of when my daughter was a newborn. I read the entire thing out loud to her while I was recovering from a C-section. I swear she started talking early because of it.

Name a book you acquired in an interesting way.

812073

Back in my pre-adult (meaning after college) days, I used to be really into lifting weights. My best friend and I saw this grungy-ish book on clearance in some random shop at the mall. I bought it and actually followed her lifting suggestions. Luckily, I never got as ripped as she is. 😉

Have you ever given away a book for a special reason to a special person?

No. I have had some books not return from being lending, though. Does that count? Because one of my favorite books is still lost somewhere between a friend’s ex-husband’s house and her current house. I’m not bitter or anything, though.

Which book has been with you to the most places?

My Kindle! So many, many books. Couldn’t list them all.

Any “required reading” you hated in high school that wasn’t so bad two years later?

Nope. I haven’t re-read anything from high school.

What is the strangest item you’ve found in a book?

A physical item? The only thing I’ve found are library receipts. Boring, I know.

Used or brand new?

I prefer brand new. Used books tend to weird me out.

Have you ever read a Dan Brown book?

Yes, I read The Lost Symbol. I also listened to the rest of his books on audio.

Have you ever seen a movie you liked more than the book?

12700353

Me and Earl and the Dying Girl

A book that should have NEVER been published.

15739018

You can read my review here if you want to know why.

Have you ever read a book that’s made you hungry, cookbooks being excluded from this question?

25056216

Just thinking about this book makes me want cheese!

Who is the person whose book advice you’ll always take?

Cristina @ My Tiny Obsessions and Ari @ The Daydreaming Bookworm. We tend to read the same books. 😉
