The Goodreads Book Tag

Thank you to Flo @ Flowless Books for tagging me for The Goodreads Book Tag. I’m so excited to do this tag! So, here we go!

What was the last book you marked as ‘read’?

Furious Rush wasn’t the last book I finished reading, but it was the last book I marked “read” on Goodreads.

What are you currently reading?

I can’t bypass a hockey sports romance, so I’m reading Crazy Pucking Love. I found it on NetGalley.

What was the last book you marked as TBR?

I just found out the Laura McHugh, author of The Weight of Blood, has a second book out. I need to read it!!!

What book do you plan to read next?

I’m doing a buddy read with some Goodreads friends of All the Rage. I’m excited to read it because I own it and it’s been sitting on my shelf forever.

Do you use the star rating system?

Yes. I’m a high rater. A book pretty much has to suck for me to rate it 2 or less stars.

Are you doing a 2016 Reading Challenge?

Yes. I already completed my goal, which I won’t share because I’ve read an incredibly embarrassing amount of books this year. I think I need to get a life. But I read at three 1-1/2 hour soccer practices every week. That’s my excuse. 😉

Do you have a wishlist?

Um, not really. Well, maybe a mental one.

What book do you plan to buy next?

I’m buying Author Anonymous because I’m buddy reading it this weekend.

Do you have any favorite quotes? Share a few.

Just a few? That’s hard. Here they are:

Dude, socks. If you just wore socks, this wouldn’t have happened.
-Ginger Scott, Wicked Restless

“Just when you think you know someone, they change. Or you change. Or maybe you both change. And that changes everything.
-Kim Holden, Bright Side

“I’m not saying you shouldn’t pursue dreams and goals. Just don’t forsake the present for the unknowns of the future. A lot of happiness is bypassed, overlooked, postponed to a time years from now that may never come. Don’t bide your time and miss out on this moment for a tomorrow with no guarantee.”
-Kim Holden, Bright Side

“Sometimes love is not enough, and it doesn’t matter how much you want it. Want him. And even if nobody else compares to that person, it doesn’t mean that you’re supposed to be with him.”
― Jessica Park, Flat-Out Celeste

Who are your favorite authors?

Honestly, I have too many to count. Here are some of them:

Elle Kennedy
Sarina Bowen
Claire Contreras
Colleen Hoover
Ginger Scott
Karen White
Whitney G.
Meghan Quinn
Amy Harmon
K.A. Tucker
Miranda Kenneally
Kasie West
Kim Holden
Jay McLean
Emery Lord
Jessica Park

I could go on and one forever, so I’ll stop here.

Have you joined any groups?

I’ve joined a bunch of them and used to participate a lot, but now the only one I really participate in is Young Adult Contemporary Romance. I love those ladies!

  1. This looks like a lot of fun! Like you, I like to give books a high rating, unless I seriously hate the book. I feel bad when I give a low score on a book.

    1. Yay! You can consider yourself tagged if you want to do it. (I can’t remember who likes to do them anymore!)
