Top Ten Tuesday is an original weekly feature created by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s theme is Fandom Freebie — top ten fandoms I’m in, 10 reasons X fandom is the best, must have merchandise for x fandom, etc. etc. I don’t know if I’m really in any fandoms or not. I religiously follow some authors, so maybe that counts? For my topic, I’m going with Authors Who Could Write The Phone Book And I’d Still Read It.
Now, I know some of you youngins might not know what the phone book is, so let me explain. It’s what we used to use back in the old days before the internet when we needed to look up a phone number. They used to drop them on your doorstep once a year. So pretty boring to read, if you get what I’m saying.
Click on the author names to be directed to their websites.
I love your list and I’m going to check out the authors I don’t know or have never read!
Awesome post Deanna!!
Thank you! I hope you enjoy any new ones you try! 🙂
Maggie Stiefvater would turn the phone book into a magical wonderland with a sprinkling of dead Welsh kings haha.
Lol. YES!
Colleen and Tarryn definitely top my list!! I’d also have Sarah Jio, Harlan Coben, and Taylor Jenkins Reid.
I haven’t read any of their stuff! I have one of Taylor Jenkins Reid books, but I haven’t read it yet. And I just read Bad Mommy and realized Jio is a local author, so I need to check her out.
Totally with you on Emery Lord, Colleen Hoover and Kasie West. I love those authors <3
I just downloaded Addicted to You by Krista and Becca Ritchie on my Kindle. I can’t wait to get to it. I’ve heard really great things.
I also agree with you on a bunch of these authors! 🙂
Lucky duck! It is soooo good! Be prepared — you’re going to want to read the entire series after that first book. There are like a million books. Make sure to check out the series order. There is actually 2 series in 1 and they overlap. You may have known that, but I wouldn’t want to miss or read them in any other order than how they were written. SO GOOD!!! Happy reading!
I’ll have to look into the order and everything. I had no idea there were so many to read. I’ve just been watching thereadingwallflower on YouTube and she talks about the series non-stop. Ah, can’t wait to get started! 🙂
Yes, there’s Addicted and then there’s Calloway Sisters. I think there might be 7 or more books.
Haha phonebooks. We still get them delivered to work and nobody ever wants them. I agree that I’ll read whatever Kasie West reads. Emery Lord fell off my list with her latest books (but that’s probably just me). I would add Pierce Brown and Emma Mills.
Ooo! Emma Mills! I forgot about her. I’ve only read Frank Sanger Presents, but I need to read her other one. And I’m happy I’m not the only one who despises phone books.
Yes for Elle Kennedy and Sarina Bowen!
They’re amazing!
I feel this so much. There are some authors whose stories just get to you. I imagine I’d read phone books written by Anna-Marie McLemore and Neil Gaiman any day.
Yay! So happy it resonated with you. 🙂
Lots of new to me authors. I’m going to blame you for whatever happens to my TBR list. 😉
Haha! Love it!
Love Maggie Stiefvater!

haha! i love the title for this post! that gives me an idea for one in the future 😀
Thank you! I hope it works for you!
I love your spin on the topic! Such a fun angle! Thanks for stopping by my TTT earlier too 🙂
Thanks!
Of course authors count as legitimate fandoms. ❤ They are the heart of what we read, and it’s so cool to fangirl/fanboy about their work. Basically, they are our superstars. Lovely TTT post. ?
Thank you! 🙂
Great list. I love that you have Maggie Stiefvater.
Haha, great title! I really want to read a Maggie Stiefvater book soon! Have a great week!
You must! I love her writing!
Haha, what is this strange phone book you speak of? I can’t believe I haven’t read any books by these authors but Colleen Hoover, Kasie West, and Maggie Stiefvater make up a huge chunk of my TBR.
You must read them ALL! So good!
Yup, I can definitely get on board with a few of these! 🙂
