Top Ten Tuesday: Authors Who Could Write The Phone Book And I’d Still Read It

Top Ten Tuesday is an original weekly feature created by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s theme is Fandom Freebie — top ten fandoms I’m in, 10 reasons X fandom is the best, must have merchandise for x fandom, etc. etc. I don’t know if I’m really in any fandoms or not. I religiously follow some authors, so maybe that counts? For my topic, I’m going with Authors Who Could Write The Phone Book And I’d Still Read It.

Now, I know some of you youngins might not know what the phone book is, so let me explain. It’s what we used to use back in the old days before the internet when we needed to look up a phone number. They used to drop them on your doorstep once a year. So pretty boring to read, if you get what I’m saying.

  1. Maggie Stiefvater would turn the phone book into a magical wonderland with a sprinkling of dead Welsh kings haha.

    1. I haven’t read any of their stuff! I have one of Taylor Jenkins Reid books, but I haven’t read it yet. And I just read Bad Mommy and realized Jio is a local author, so I need to check her out.

  2. I just downloaded Addicted to You by Krista and Becca Ritchie on my Kindle. I can’t wait to get to it. I’ve heard really great things.
I also agree with you on a bunch of these authors! 🙂

    1. Lucky duck! It is soooo good! Be prepared — you’re going to want to read the entire series after that first book. There are like a million books. Make sure to check out the series order. There is actually 2 series in 1 and they overlap. You may have known that, but I wouldn’t want to miss or read them in any other order than how they were written. SO GOOD!!! Happy reading!

      1. I’ll have to look into the order and everything. I had no idea there were so many to read. I’ve just been watching thereadingwallflower on YouTube and she talks about the series non-stop. Ah, can’t wait to get started! 🙂

        1. Yes, there’s Addicted and then there’s Calloway Sisters. I think there might be 7 or more books.

  3. Haha phonebooks. We still get them delivered to work and nobody ever wants them. I agree that I’ll read whatever Kasie West reads. Emery Lord fell off my list with her latest books (but that’s probably just me). I would add Pierce Brown and Emma Mills.

    1. Ooo! Emma Mills! I forgot about her. I’ve only read Frank Sanger Presents, but I need to read her other one. And I’m happy I’m not the only one who despises phone books.

  4. Haha, what is this strange phone book you speak of? I can’t believe I haven’t read any books by these authors but Colleen Hoover, Kasie West, and Maggie Stiefvater make up a huge chunk of my TBR.
