The Wine Book Tag

Thank you to Flo @ Flowless Books for tagging me for The Wine Book Tag. I’m not a huge drinker, but every once in a while a glass of wine sounds good. So, I’m just going to have to rely on the descriptions of each wine.

Now, to get wasted! (Not really, but it sounds fun.)

Box Wine – a book people will judge you for liking but you like it anyway!

41865

Twlight by Stephenie Meyer

Do I even need to explain this one? The writing makes some English majors cringe. (I can confirm this. My best friend was one and actually did.) Other people are annoyed by Bella’s personality. Etc, etc. I don’t care. I loved it.

Organic Wine – a book that doesn’t have any added crap in it and is just written perfectly.

27242522

That Girl, Darcy by James Ramos

It may be Ramos’ first novel, but the writing was excellent. I loved the characters and everything about this book.

Gluehwein – a really spicy, wintery read.

27252717

The Score by Elle Kennedy

It has hockey. That’s “wintery” right? It’s definitely got a spicy romance!

Sauvignon Blanc – a really sharp and aggressive read that you couldn’t put down.

18246727

Mud Vein by Tarryn Fisher

I can’t even explain how this book made me feel. The writing was so aggressive and the story was sharp. I’m still thinking about it and I read it almost a year ago.

Pinot Noir – a book you didn’t expect much from but ended up getting blown away.

23253863

Nine Minutes by Beth Flynn

First, the cover. It’s not exactly eye catching. Second, the synopsis. Why would I want to read about a 15-year-old girl being abducted by a motorcycle gang? I am so happy it was recommended to me. The entire series is mind blowing with twists and turns at every corner.

Chardonnay – a good summer read that was super zesty.

24283477

Calendar Girl series by Audrey Carlan

This entire series was a fun summery read. It was also super “zesty”. Defintely for mature audiences only!

Rose – a book that has a little bit of everything in it.

23437156Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

This book really does have a little bit of everything in it. There’s mystery, suspense, crime, romance, intensity… I’m sure I’ve forgotten something, but you get the picture.

Shiraz – a full-bodied book that is dark and juicy.

18626617

Amber to Ashes by Gail McHugh

This subject matter is dark. The love triangle is juicy. It was like a train wreck. It was gritty and disturbing, but I couldn’t take my eyes away from it.

Merlot – a smooth, easy read with a soft finish.

Catching Jordan by Miranda Kenneally

This YA contemporary romance is a feel good story that will leave you smiling.

Champagne – your favorite book.

22669832Bright Side by Kim Holden

Since I already used Nine Minutes, I’ll pick my other favorite book. I loved Bright Side so much. I want everyone to read it.

Hey now. What happened to the Riesling? That would be my wine of choice. Sadly, it’s not on the list. Nor is a Port. I guess the desert wines are left out?

I’m going to tag anyone who wants to do this fun tag!
