Goodreads Synopsis:

Katy Lewis has it all: a sports reporting job she loves, a great roommate, and two brothers who, while nosy, always have her back. But when Conner Roberts, Katy’s unrequited first crush, suddenly shows up—and shows interest—after nine years, she reverts to a sweaty, panicked sixteen-year-old once more.

And if trying to read Conner’s signals isn’t tough enough, Katy’s heart is sending some mixed messages of its own. When a beautiful blonde coworker starts pursuing Katy’s boss, Dylan Sterling—her longtime mentor and friend—she realizes she may have a problem with that. A reunion with Conner is what she’s dreamed of for so long…so why can’t she stop thinking about Dylan?

For the first time ever, Katy must fact-check her heart. Should she go after the guy she thought she always wanted or see if there’s something more with the one who’s been there all along?

I was a little hesitant to read this book. Love triangles aren’t my favorite book trope. It stresses me out a little when I’m reading one. I usually like both of the prospective mates being pitted against each other, and it makes it hard to be completely happy when one is chosen over the other. Luckily, Something More Than This wasn’t an angsty love triangle. It had it’s moments of stress for the main character, Katy, but I could pretty much tell from the book blurb who the she was going to pick. That made reading Something More Than This a light and fun reading experience.

Something More Than This also felt honest. Katy’s confusion felt real, and her indecision between two possible loves was something I could see happening to any young woman. I loved the way she stumbled upon her answer.

I also loved all of the supporting characters in this book. Katy’s best friend Mimi was hilarious! Her brothers were also very interesting. I would love to read more about them.

Something More Than This was a really fun, cute book to read. I would definitely suggest it to contemporary romance readers.
